When the group arrived at the camp, Sokka noticed the many tents and supplies scattered about, yet a lack of human presence. “Where is everyone?”
“Some are hunting, some are gathering water,” the chief replied. “We all work until sunset, and we meet here to feast for supper. While everyone is away, my wife and daughters look after the children who are too young to work.”
